Colorado Network National Board Certification

Funding

Dear National Board Candidate,

 

We are excited to have Colorado Federal Subsidy Funds available for candidates this year for National Board Certification. Applications for the Federal Subsidy will be processed first come, first served as long as funds remain, but you must apply by December 1, 2008. You may receive $1,000 from the Federal Subsidy to help defray the assessment fee (candidates must not have used Federal Subsidy Funding in the past).

Federal Subsidy Application requirements:  

1. Complete and submit the National Board Certification application online at www.nbpts.org, including the nonrefundable $65 application processing charge as well as the $500 nonrefundable materials fee.

2. Submit a one-page letter to Anne Marie Roberts, Colorado Candidate Subsidy Administrator, to the email address below, with proof of payment, if possible.

3. Include all of the following in your one page letter in order to be considered for funds:

• your full name

• current email address

• NBPTS candidate ID #

• home phone

• home address

• Social Security number

• National Board Certificate Field for which you are applying

• current teaching assignment, school, district

• years of teaching experience

• an explanation of why you want to earn National Board Certification and how it will help you and your students work toward achieving high standards in teaching and learning.
